Key Highlights:
- Plan scheduled downtime for maintenance activities, especially for critical systems.
- Periodically conduct flow tests to ensure that water flows at the required rate through the fire piping system
- Power up the fire alarm control panel and verify that it initializes properly. Check for any error messages or faults in the system
- Est each smoke detector, heat detector, and other sensors to ensure they trigger alarms when smoke or heat is simulated
- Test individual zones and circuits to verify that the system accurately identifies the location of alarms
- Provide training to the operators and end-users on the proper operation of the fire alarm system, including how to respond to alarms and conduct routine testing.
