BRK Battery Operated Smoke
Product Introduction:
This product named Photoelectric detector (hereinafter called Detector) detects the smoke by a couple of infrared diodes. The principle of detection is granule in the smoke can reflect Infrared light. Infrared diodes are placed in the special chamber. Affects the smoke in it. While having no smoke, the diode can receive very weak infrared light. When the smoke enters the detector, the Diode can receive strong infrared light. Through Light-Electric signal transformation, the detector can send an alarm signal.
Installation and Test:
1: Select the proper place (normally mounted on the center of the ceiling), fix the mounting base, and turn it. Avoid installing in a place that has stagnant smoke, dust, heavy mist, humidity >90%, and wind speed>5m/s.
2: Before installation, connect the battery, and put it into the battery slot. Then the detector sends “Di” once, and the LED flashes once.
3: Then the detector comes into an operating state.Indicating LED will flash once per 40 seconds, twice per 1 second at alarm state.
4: Sensitivity test. Long press the test button for more than 3 seconds to test the LED should flash twice per 1s. The detector should send out an RF signal and sound (wireless type). Test the detector with man-made smoke (Recommended)
5: Alarm When the detector is alarming and flashing, if the smoke concentration decreases below the alert value, the detector will auto-back to the condition.
6: Low battery voltage When the buzzer makes a “D” every 40 seconds, the LED has a flashing at the same time, which means the battery voltage is low, please change the battery. Otherwise, it would affect the proper functioning.
Notice:
1.The detector can’t be installed in worse environments. E.g. coldest, hottest, dust.
2.Please test it monthly to ensure the detector is in normal working condition.
3.Please clean the detector to ensure the sensitivity and life of the product. Pay attention to switching off the power before cleaning.
4.Cut off the power if no use for a long time.
5.When the voltage of the battery is less than 7.2v, the detector will beep once per 30s. please change the battery in this condition.
6.For various reasons, including, but not limited to changes in environmental conditions, electric disruption, and tampering, the product may not perform as expected. The user is advised to take all necessary precautions for his/her safety and the protection of his/her property.
